HOW DOES AIIWE BENEFIT OUR RESIDENTS?

1. PUBLIC SPACE SECURITY

AIIWE is focused on public space security, which includes the security of our streets, our parks, vacant lots, bus stops and the greenbelts (the areas between Atholl and the M1 ). The AIIWE committee proactively and continuously strive to improve public-space security that contributes to the safety of all AIIWE residents. This is achieved through formal monthly reviews of compliance in terms of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with its selected security services provider.

Other suburb issues, such as zoning, roads, water and other infrastructure are addressed by the two other Residents’ Associations in the AIIWE area namely the Sandton South Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association (SSRRA) and the Atholl Area Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association (AARRA)

2. MONITORING OF SECURITY SERVICES PROVIDER

AIIWE monitors the dedicated basket of security services (click here for details) through the detailed SLA concluded with its current security services provider, Beagle Watch. The SLA sets out the comprehensive security services and resource deliverables to be provided by Beagle Watch on a continuous basis. The SLA also provides for penalties and sanctions for non-adherence which can be enforced by withholding payments or by imposing financial penalties. A powerful tool for ensuring security service levels are maintained.
